Singing our socks off

Some major changes have been happening within SOSO over the past few months mainly because of the growth of the classes. This is an exciting time and we have some fun events planned. Because of this it has meant some venues and times have changed.

Southport

This class has moved from our previous venue at Gable’s Bridge Club to St.Marie’s Marian Centre. ALL TIMES HAVE STAYED THE SAME

This class has moved from our previous venue at St. Nicholas Church Hall to St. Mary’s Complex. CLASS TIMES HAVE CHANGED FROM 7:30pm-9:30pm to 7:00pm-9:00pm

The Morning Class at St Mary’s Complex Thursday Morning (11:00 am) has been merged with the evening class and will no longer run in the morning.

SOSO is a fun, vibrant, friendly community choir for everyone who loves to sing whatever your ability or experience.

At our weekly workshops you will find a warm reception and very quickly you will feel part of a group that is very active in local activities and some very exciting projects

We sing a variety of songs from show tunes to modern pop and many songs from around the world

We teach natural voice, so there is no need to read music, just a willingness to learn and enjoy rediscovering your singing voice as well as singing as part of a group

There are no auditions and you are never asked to perform on your own unless you would like the opportunity to do so

Projects

In the past SOSO have been involved in projects in:

• Liverpool 1,
• St Georges Hall,
• The Met Quarter,
• Clayton Square,
• The Lord Mayor’s Pageant
• Liverpool Echo Arena

We were quarter finalists in BBC’S Last choir standing and enjoyed a fabulous trip to London
